NSSNA Committee Application
NSSNA Committees are vital to the function and longevity of the organization. Student leaders from all SNA chapters are encouraged to apply. Committee descriptions are listed in the committee application, as well as the deadline for application submission. Committees are a great way to get involved on a state level and explore national involvement. Commitment will be from time of committee selection until the date of the annual convention in the spring. Some committees are limited in the number of members, so there is an option to select your top three choices. We will do our best to accommodate everyone, but there is no guarantee you will get your first choice. We would love to include as many members as we possibly can! Please reach out to the board if you have any questions!
Student Nurse of the Year Application
This will be awarded to one Nebraska nursing student at the NSSNA annual convention. Faculty and students must nominate you in order to become eligible for this award. Thank you for your dedication at promoting professionalism across Nebraska Nursing Schools. Please submit all applications by deadline listed in application.
Community Award Application
There are two community awards, one for a chapter and one for an individual. To be considered for an award, describe the community service in which you participated in and the award that you are applying for. A separate application and write-up must be submitted for each award. It is time to submit applications for the Community Service Award for the Community Chapter Award. For the individual Community Service Award, it is presented to an individual who has shown outstanding contribution to the local chapter through community service and involvement in their school SNA organization. The individual must have done the entire project on their own or they will be disqualified. This honor should be awarded to an individual who does not hold an office in her/his state or local organization. Each chapter should nominate an individual in their local chapter for this award.
The Image of Nursing Social Media Award
The Image of Nursing Social Media Award is presented to the chapter that has promoted the Image of Nursing by utilizing social media to reach a larger audience. The chapter must have utilized at least one of the following platforms to be considered for this award: Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter.
