NSSNA is a subdivision of the largest pre-professional organization in the country known as the National Student Nurses’ Association (NSNA).
Welcome to the Nebraska State Student Nurse's Association
NSNA stands for National Student Nurses Association, which is a pre-professional association for nursing students with about 37,000 members divided by state. Participating in NSNA prepares you for involvement in professional associations when you graduate, as well as for participation in shared governance organizations in the workplace. It is comprised of students who are preparing for their RN Licensure. Nebraska State Student Nurse's Association provides educational opportunities for student nurses through leadership, education, scholarship, legislature, and career networking.
To assume responsibility for contributing to nursing education in order to provide for the highest quality of healthcare.
To provide programs representative of fundamental and current professional interests and concerns.
To aid in the development of the whole person, his/her professional role, and his/her responsibility for the health care of people in all walks of life.
2023 Nominated NSSNA Speakers
Raven Lance is currently Forensic Nurse Examiner that primarily takes care of adult and adolescent patients that have experienced Sexual Assault or Domestic Violence. She is also currently a Critical Care Transport Nurse at Children’s Hospital & Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Her other nursing experience includes 3 years of CVICU at Nebraska Medicine and 6 months of local travel ICU experience in Fremont Nebraska. She has obtained her Certified Critical-Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) and is studying for her SANE-A.
